ABOUT THE Anfield Ticket Draw | 2023-24
The quick version:
We get limited Anfield tickets each season (60-70 ish). We aim to get these to members who have rarely been to Anfield or can’t get tickets through other sources. We only allocate one ticket per member each season. Applicants are entered in a draw based on the number of ‘Loyalty Points’ they have from the previous season, and greater points = greater chance. Members can link to one other member when applying for tickets.
THE FULL VERSION:
Annual ticket allocation from LFC:
Our Supporters Club (“club”) applies for 12 tickets for 6 matches (Premier League home only) per season: three in the first half (to December 31st) and three in the second half. There’s no guarantee we get all the tickets we apply for.
Principles that guide our Anfield Ticket Draw:
Rewarding loyalty: The ticket draw is weighted in favour of the members who are most actively involved in the supporters club. Our mission is to create a large, vibrant, friendly, and inclusive community of Liverpool FC supporters in Brighton & Sussex, which can only be effectively achieved by members' active involvement.
‘Loyalty Points’ are awarded to those attending Matchday Events at our partner venues if they get tickets through Eventbrite and ‘check in’ with our Events Team on arrival.
Consideration for others: Some members have never or rarely been to Anfield and have limited access to tickets. Therefore, we request that members who have access to tickets through other means, such as season tickets or success in the LFC Members Ballot, consider not applying for tickets from our club allocation.
Opportunity for all: Our intention is to allocate one ticket per member each season to ensure the maximum number have an opportunity to attend a match. Once a member has been allocated a ticket, they’ll be removed from further draws this season. In the unlikely event there is a lack of demand, additional tickets may be allocated to members who have already been allocated a ticket this season.
HOW THE Anfield Ticket Draw WORKS:
Members will be invited to apply for Anfied tickets, typically through a Google Form. As soon as applications are received, a ticket draw will take place.
Loyalty Points Pots: These are used for the ticket draw. A greater number of points equals a greater chance of getting a ticket.
Pot 1 22+ Matchday Events attended (50%+)
Pot 2 14 - 21 Matchday Events attended (30-49%)
Pot 3 6 - 13 Matchday Events attended (15-29%)
Assuming we are allocated twelve tickets to a match, which is the maximum number we can apply for (and usually receive):
Pot 1 is drawn first for the first six tickets, and anyone not allocated a ticket is added to Pot 2
Pot 2 is drawn for the next four tickets, and anyone not allocated a ticket is added to Pot 3
Pot 3 is drawn for the remaining two tickets, and anyone not allocated a ticket goes onto the reserve list (should anyone cancel)
Members will stay in the draw until they have been allocated a ticket or all tickets have been allocated, meaning members in Pot 1 have a significantly better opportunity of being allocated a ticket.
Linking to another member: When applying for tickets, members can link to ONE other member they wish to attend the match with. If linked members have differing loyalty points totals, their loyalty points will be added together and divided by two to determine which Loyalty Points Pot they will be assigned to.
The order in which matches are drawn is as follows: Any ‘Category A’ matches will be drawn first, and then all other matches will be drawn in date order from the earliest to the latest. Category A matches are against Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham.
